Are We Over Yellow?

I don't know about you but I'm completely over and done with the whole 'yellow' trend. It started last year around autumn with a massive mustard trend where everyone and their mum were wearing mustard jumpers, hats, scarves, skirts, you name it, somewhere had it. This then transitioned to a bright yellow for spring/summer. All the high street shops loved the bright and happiness the colour brought to people and their outfits, a long with everyone else. Well it seems this happy colour is still very popular on the runways, with everyone dragging the colour in 2019 kicking and screaming (in my case anyway). I recently gave into the 'yellow trend' by buying a t-shirt in the sale and I have to say, it's perfect for summer days to project your happiness about the lovely weather, but is it right to keep the colour up when autumn is coming? I know it looks gorgeous on olive and darker complexions with dark hair, but I am continuously seeing the colour still on Pinterest, everywhere. Maybe it's because England isn't keeping it's sunshine much longer and that's why I don't like it, I'm jealous of other countries being able to where this summer approved colour everywhere because their summer isn't so doom and gloom like ours.

With influence from celebrities and social media this yellow trend has also spiralled into a neon trend, including neon yellow. After that infamous picture of Kim Kardashian with the neon wig and neon sports car, everyone has been embracing this new trend too.

In my opinion I think green is the new yellow, a garden like green is perfect for the upcoming seasons as it's not too in your face sunshine but a more demure subtle way of saying 'SUMMER ISN'T OVER YET!'
